Silfab Solar is proud to announce a new chapter of growth and innovation in York County, South Carolina. Our new facility, located at 7149 Logistics Lane in Fort Mill, is set to open its doors in 2025, and we are thrilled to share all the exciting milestones this state-of-the-art operation will achieve:

Transforming Solar Manufacturing in the U.S.

Our York County facility will bring the first fully automated and integrated solar panel and solar cell manufacturing to the United States. This means that for the first time, solar cell design and production—an industry once led by the U.S.—will return from overseas. By reshoring this vital technology, Silfab Solar is helping to:

  • Reduce dependency on foreign imports.
  • Create new opportunities for American workers.
  • Spark economic growth across supporting industries.

Powering Job Creation and Economic Impact

The new facility will create 800 skilled jobs, with 50% of those positions filled within the first year of operations. Once fully staffed, we project an annual payroll of over $11 million. In addition to job creation, Silfab Solar will make a significant economic impact on the local community over the next several years:

  • Contributing $17 million in property taxes to support Fort Mill Schools.
  • Providing approximately $4.7 million in property taxes to York County.

Building for North America

This facility will manufacture high-efficiency solar panels designed specifically for the North American market. It will also set the standard for solar innovation and manufacturing excellence right here in South Carolina.

Supporting the Local Community

At Silfab Solar, our commitment goes beyond clean energy production. We are dedicated to supporting philanthropic initiatives and contributing to the well-being of the local community.

2025 will be a year of exciting growth for Silfab Solar, York County, and the entire renewable energy industry. We’re proud to be at the forefront of bringing solar innovation and jobs back to the United States while helping build a cleaner, more sustainable future.
