FORT MILL, S.C. (September 9, 2026) – An industry leader with more than 30 years of experience in safety, operational excellence and risk management has joined Silfab Solar as corporate Director for Health and Safety.

Jamie Watts leads Silfab’s enterprise-wide environmental, health and safety efforts supporting the company’s operations in South Carolina and Washington state. Silfab, North America’s leading PV module and cell manufacturer, maintains one of the industry’s leading standards and performance outcomes for workplace safety.

Watts has built a distinguished career in global chemical and process manufacturing, with expertise spanning enterprise environmental, health and safety strategy, regulatory compliance, emergency response, continuous improvement, and large-scale industrial operations. Watts holds a degree in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University and is a licensed professional engineer. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, he led more than 250 combat missions and earned the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge.
